Mr. Donnelson’s specialties center on building compelling consumer brands, and merging commerce and content for the ultimate consumer experience. Donnelson successfully launched 5 consumer ecommerce brands.
Outcomes include one being sold for $25M, another $6M, and Altrec producing $59M in profitable revenue. His 17 year run as the Creative Director and brand steward for Altrec enabled the company to establish a solid reputation with its consumers as a leader in outdoor lifestyle, clothing, gear and footwear.
His work and the team he led won numerous national design awards with the content sites they built in collaboration with National Geographic, Mountain Travel Sobek, and Millennial Trails as well as premier climbers Dave Hahn, Jim Whittaker, and Ed Viesturs. Prior to Altrec, he was a partner in Joppa Inc., and previous to that he was the President and Founder of Edge Design for seven years, one of Seattle’s first digital agencies, serving clients such as Microsoft, Fine.com, and Nordstrom.
Donnelson holds a B.A. in Design from Western Washington University.
