Gregory Gatto, a veteran of the advertising and media/publishing industries, founded G Squared Consulting to provide practical advice to owners, entrepreneurs, and business leaders as they navigate their organizations' challenges. He brings 25+ years of experience working with blue-chip clients across the financial, travel, automotive, consumer packaged goods, and outdoor industries, both from an advertising agency and media/publishing perspective. He holds extensive cross-functional team leadership, sales management, marketing, new business development, content creation, affiliate revenue, and M&A experience.   


 Gregory gained the bulk of his skills and experience at Bonnier Corporation. He started his career holding various sales and account leadership roles working alongside well-known brands such as Field & Stream, Outdoor Life, Popular Science, Saveur, Popular Photography, American Photo, and SHOT Business. He was promoted to SVP, Managing Director, where he was responsible for running all sales and day-to-day business operations and delivered $2M+ in new revenue by architecting and establishing a standalone content brand to solve client needs. He also sparked a 40% growth in digital group revenue by developing and continuously improving various brands' social media monetization strategies.   


His many achievements, entrepreneurial spirit, unparalleled leadership skills, and ability to drive revenue growth ultimately landed him the position of EVP, Bonnier Media, where he managed a business group with $100M+ in annual revenue and 250+ team members and managed critical areas, including P&L, strategic planning, workforce management, and overall vision and led several cross-functional teams, including production, editorial/content, sales, marketing, and content syndication. Some of his key successes while in this role included:  


  • Creating and implementing a commerce-focused content division for Amazon Onsite Associates Program in May 2019 produced $5M+ in profit over the first 18 months.   

  • Championed restructuring initiative for Media Division to combine three groups into one seamless organization, enhancing efficiency by 20% and reducing costs by centralizing resources.  

  • Boosted 2020 EBITA by $4M over the forecasted amount during the COVID-19 pandemic via strict cost controls and driving revenue growth from new business areas.   


Greg holds a BA in Urban and Public Policy/Political Science from the University of Buffalo and was an Adjunct Professor of Media & Publishing at NYU School of Professional Studies. He also served as a volunteer Board Member for The Association of Magazine Media for 2+ years.
